Scientists conducted an experiment: For 7 years, they observed half a million Chinese people aged 30 to 79 years. The volunteers were divided into two groups. In one, they ate spicy food 3 times a week. The other group ate everything but spicy food. As a result, mortality in the first group was 14% lower than in the second.

The thing is that pepper contains a special substance – capsaicin. It gives it its heat. Capsaicin increases the production of endorphins, the hormones of joy, and destroys cancer cells.
